David Arthur, Founder of AgapeALIVE Church, is a man after God’s own heart! God called him into pastoral ministry one Easter in March 1996.  After some resistance and a lot of disbelief, he obediently accepted the charge to lead God’s people. His calling was received in the A.M.E. Church in Omaha, NE, yet he would be ordained in the Baptist faith before settling in on being a non-denominational Pastor in Sacramento, CA. He began his preparation by completing his B.S. in Global Business Management at Bellevue University and attending seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

David and his wife Camille took a huge leap of faith along with their three small children to Atlanta, GA when he attended Seminary. In doing so, God used his dedicated and diligent character to allow him to work a full-time and a part-time job while completing his Master of Divinity in three years.

Prayerful, persistent, patient, and in constant pursuit to meet people where they are characterize Pastor David Arthur. His passion for reaching the un-churched, the lost, and the disheartened are evident in his interactive teaching style which allows learners to find relevance through laughter and self-reflection. God’s Word comes alive as he preaches life truths with passion. So much so, that he has been blessed to see God triple the size of every group he has led in his 23 years of ministry. He whimsically makes a point to share his humble story of how he has been changed from “mess to messenger”.

Pastor Arthur and Camille seek to teach as many as God blesses them to touch to “Love All People Always”. Three of their children are now in college and the youngest remains active in the Church’s ROOTED Youth Ministry.
